State-of-the-Art Analysis and Perspectives of China HPC Development in 2024

Abstract:

[Objective] Based on the data of China's high performance computer TOP100 rankings published in November 2024, this paper makes an in-depth analysis of the current development status of high performance computers in China from the overall performance, manufacturers, industry status, and many other aspects. [Results] The latest list includes four new systems. The top 10 systems are unchanged. The Linpack performance of the first system is still 487 PFlops. The situation of the three strong hegemonies of Lenovo, Sugon, and Inspur is replaced with the competition between Lenovo and Inspur. [Conclusions] According to the performance data of the past ranking lists, this paper discusses the current trend of computing capability economic, analyzes and predicts the development trend of high-performance computers in China.
