Abstract:

[Objective] The development of China’s platform economy is at a critical stage. We should study the evolution path and growth mechanism of the platform economy in time and space, focus on the long-term, make up for weaknesses, strengthen weaknesses, create an innovative environment, improve governance and supervision, and promote the standardized, healthy, and sustainable development of the platform economy. [Methods] This paper systematically studies the relevant literature and national policies at home and abroad, summarizes and analyzes the research status of the platform economy, and carries out relevant research on the evolution path and growth mechanism of China. [Results] The development of platform economy evolves from two dimensions of space and time, which are reflected in the breadth, density and depth of space and the speed, frequency and length of time. The new growth space requires expansion of scale, optimization of structure, and improvement of quality. [Conclusions] By optimizing infrastructure, improving the level of digital technology innovation, and improving platform development and regulatory policies, the platform is encouraged to extend its economic functions, strengthen mechanism innovation in scale expansion, structure optimization, and quality improvement, promote the positive interaction among the government, suppliers, platforms and demanders, constantly expand the time-space boundary of platform economy, and achieve high-quality and sustainable economic development.
