Research and Design of A Cloud Federation Metering System Based on Consortium Chain

Abstract:

[Objective] In order to solve the problems of difficult resource measurement and data asynchrony caused by the different ownership of scientific research institutions during the construction of the scientific research cloud federation, a scientific research cloud federation metering system is proposed. [Background] Centralized resource metering may lead to high operating costs, low efficiency, malicious attacks, insecure data storage and other consequences. [Methods] In this paper, according to the characteristics of the scientific research cloud federation and the technical characteristics of consortium chain, we design a scientific research cloud federation metering system based on Hyperledger Fabric, a consortium blockchain framework. [Results] This system realizes mutual trust among federal participants, ensures accurate resource measurement, protects privacy of the user data, helps administrators of scientific research institutions check available resources, and improves administration work efficiency.
