Abstract:

[Objective] The Steady High Magnetic Field Facility (SHMFF), as one of the national large-scale scientific facilities, has built a public experimental platform of steady-state high magnetic fields for multidisciplinary research areas. During the long-term operation of the facility, two types of core data are generated: facility operation data and scientific experiment data. These data are important digital assets of the facility, and the efficient collection, sharing, and usage of the data can help to enhance the value of the facility and promote frontier cross-cooperation. [Methods] The SHMFF data management system provides data access based on B/S technology architecture by building data monitoring collectors, experimental metadata extractors and databases, and integrating the metadata catalog management open-source project SciCat. [Results] The system realizes the analysis and import of device operation data, the graphic drawing of millions of data records, and the management of scientific experiment metadata. Besides, an effective security protection mechanism is constructed to improve data security and system robustness. The system is deployed and tested to verify its function and performance. [Conclusions] The construction of the SHMFF data management system will improve the efficiency of centralized data management, online data analysis, data sharing, and data usage.
